Amy Louttit, JD began her career providing direct youth services as an AmeriCorps member serving Humboldt County, California in 2007.
She went on to work in the child welfare system in the San Francisco Bay area, watching first-hand as youth aged out to homelessness. Recognizing that young people had a great number of legal barriers creating even greater vulnerabilities, she set off to attend law school in San Diego.
Through her law school career, she received many accolades and earned an externship focusing on youth experiencing homelessness, specifically local community engagement, and policy advocacy. Upon graduation, Amy moved to Washington, DC in 2014 to focus on lifting up the youth services field within six federal agencies.
Her entire professional career has been dedicated solely to ensuring that future generations of young people in the US have more options and supports in their journeys to adulthood.
